Paul Cuadros

Associate Professor of Journalism at UNC Chapel Hill

Paul Cuadros is a dedicated journalist and advocate who has spent over two decades shining a light on the intersections of race, poverty, and immigration in America. His work is driven by a deep commitment to telling the stories of marginalized communities, particularly the Latino population in the South. Through his investigative reporting and groundbreaking books, Paul has not only documented the challenges faced by these communities but also highlighted their resilience and contributions to society. At UNC-Chapel Hill, Paul continues to make a significant impact as an educator and mentor, where he has been instrumental in guiding Latino high school students toward higher education; helping them overcome barriers and realize their potential. Whether through his writing or his work with students, all are part of his broader mission: to advocate for justice and equality by telling the stories that need to be told, and by empowering the next generation to do the same.
